I’ve been obsessed with these Banana Split energy bites all month! They’re the perfect combination of banana, chocolate and strawberry, and they make the best afternoon snack. I have 2 of these with my matcha tea and it truly makes me happy! They’re also great for a grab-n-go breakfast, pre-workout fuel, or an after-dinner treat. Continue reading >>
I believe all women can age with ease and grace, even while navigating the crazy hormonal fluctuations we feel in our 40’s. I didn’t “suffer through it” and you don’t have to either! Getting older is a privilege, and not only can it be a positive experience, we can also feel amazing in our Continue reading >>
This Super Seedy Chocolate Bark Recipe is a great way to balance health and fun during the holiday season! While many of us love the holiday vibes, it’s also a time where things get busy and we tend to change up our healthy routine. We get less sleep, less exercise, we eat differently, and drink Continue reading >>
The effect of fasting on longevity has fascinated me for years. I remember being in graduate school reading research about how eating less could increase our life span. But I always felt kind of conflicted talking about it. As a dietitian, we weren’t taught about the healing benefits of fasting. We were actually taught just Continue reading >>
I love Gazpacho in the summertime. It’s cold and refreshing and the flavors are amazing. Not only that, but it’s also an easy way to get in some fresh, raw veggies! I recently made gazpacho in my Nourish Every Day cooking session. It was so fun to have gazpacho on hand all week. It’s Continue reading >>
More often than not, I’m cooking for one. Between Norah’s soccer schedule, her food preferences, and having her with me just half the time, many of my meals are eaten by myself. And I know I’m not alone. My clients, colleagues and friends are also cooking for one – at least a few times per Continue reading >>

/in Nourish Friendly, Recipes, Snacks, Raw Bars & Desserts /by Danielle OmarI’ve been obsessed with these Banana Split energy bites all month! My energy bites are always the perfect amount of sweet. I never use added sugar, just Medjool dates for the base. They’re super simple to make, too. You can whip these up in less than 15 minutes. It always takes me longer to clean up then it does to make energy balls!
The inspiration for my Banana Split Energy bites are these dried baby bananas I found at Trader Joes.
So fun, right? And they worked perfectly in this banana split recipe! If you can’t find these at Trader Joes, just sub in freeze dried banana or even banana chips if you’re desperate!
If you love a banana split (or anything banana flavored) you will love this recipe! If you want a little more energy ball inspiration, try these chocolate lemon balls, these fig newton bites, or this round up post.
I always store my no bake energy balls in the freezer (I like them to be super cold), but you can also keep them in the fridge. This recipe made about 20 little balls, so that’s about 10 servings.
Here’s how I made them:
